Previous experience of bombings provided a knowledge of the inordinate amount of damage and injury caused by broken, flying glass. Consequently the protection of the glazing of a major building at Canary Wharf became a priority.
Enter Anglian approved installers, Partition Graphics, who from their base in Chesham, Bucks, successfully co-ordinated and professionally installed Anglian anti-shatter Safety Film to the London Hosting Centre in Greenwich View Place.
Originally designed for use by the Ministry of Defence, anti-shatter films, when correctly installed, provide an almost undetectable barrier that holds broken glass in place - thus reducing the damage and injuries that would otherwise occur as the result of an impact or explosion.
In addition to 'bomb-blast' protection, Anglian Safety Film can meet the impact performance levels of safety glazing BS 6206A and B as well as the requirements of the relevant UK Building Regulations and BS 6262 Part 4 for glazing in buildings.
The correct application of safety films to annealled glass also provides a method that complies with the workplace (Health, Safety and Welfare) Regulations 1992. |
