In December 1995 The Royal Botanical Gardens, Kew were granted £21.6 million towards the Millennium Seed Bank project by the Millennium Commission.

The project provided an exceptional opportunity for plant conservation, its primary objective being the conservation of 25,000 seed samples of species from around the world. The heart of the project is the Millennium Seed Bank building which houses the Scientific facilities and an underground Seedbank.

Public access to the central atrium provides 250,000 annual visitors the opportunity to view the state of the art facilities and learn more about the projects vital role in conserving the planets resource of seed samples. In January 2004, following consultation with Management at the Seed Bank, Sussex based Engineering Consultants Posford Haskoning contacted Anglian Technical Window Films in order to arrive at a solution to reduce the penetration of ultraviolet light and visible glare into the atrium. The advanced manufacturing processes used in the production of Anglian film meant that both issues could be addressed by installing just one product, HP Natural 35. The solar control film offers high levels of visibility but provides 57% glare reduction and 98% UV filtering.

Installation of the film was co-ordinated by Anglian Approved Installer MVM Films who worked closely with both the consultants and client to ensure the 190m2 fitting schedule ran smoothly from start to finish.
